Yes, it's about that time Spring forward! Spring is in the air. That's EZ peasy or it it? Moving forward from 2 years ago of normal to Hello.... Our NEW normal. If you're like me I welcome both Spring and Summer with open arms and eyes. There is still so much beauty in this world. I have learned how to celebrate the small stuff. But I am discombobulated with endemic and new normal, etc. It's more like hocus pocus change the focus rubbish.
So what are some of your faves you've been anticipating to do if ever you got the chance to do since 2020/ Visit family, take a class, long travel, volunteer or maybe start a garden? Spring forward is a metaphor for movement. It actually can be ambiguous because one half thinks of cleaning and purging and self care while other's are taxes, end of first quarter of new year and fashion industry is already of Fall 2022 collection possibly scheduling meetings on Spring 2023 collection.
Spring to me is very unique because i have experienced ALOT with in last 2 years. The dealing with Telework after many have stated this will be our new way of working. Adapting to flannels, hoodies and flipflops, creating your own hairstyles and nails, Zoom for Telework but the best part are hookups on Zoom for Happy Hour, family parties, having Church was a bonus because I didn't miss the traffic non parkin lot going on leaving and I could watch like an ALL DAY marathon like a plethora of sermons her own creative, got used to online shopping..WAIT this no standing in line is the BOMB.COM Y'ALL!!! Some folks casa's became like multi purpose center gone wrong like the kitchen became both IHOP & 711..operating ALL DAY, basement became use for recess and gym class, parents had to log onto Zoom while assisting their child/children on their laptops with school, etc I mean it was truly a lot, some loss jobs and other's created businesses transitioned to A BOSS...Look at YOU... EMPLOYEE TO CEO. Making me think of Drake, started from bottom now we on top song!!! and ain't nobody going to ever never ever forget it. Then THE Memo reads say RTO....Heck NO!!1 I wasn't ready to go back. I had just got adjusted to my new life let's just say. I still had stuff to unfold. The loss of my Mom was a TKO,,UNEXPECETED, not covid but the other C ,,CANCER.
Once I had to deal with RTO and processing grief I had no other choice to surrender. I knew I couldn't take this into 2022. Spring for me refreshing, self care, purging pollutants mentally, emotionally and drawing closer to God for clarity greenery, listening to birds hum their melody. You know they say your energy flows where your attention goes!!! If I stay in the past I am only rehearsing what hurts and become stuck and I can't bring my Mom back but I had to change the narrative. Meaning my mindset is on her memories, her love, her hugs, her smile, her laughter, her praying. her I LOVE YOU'S and You can do it!!! Yes purging is good, clean out closets, emails, text and set up new playlist, get my new collection of aromatherapy oils not to mention freshen up my closet with some new dresses, sandals and hats. Self care is really a priority especially for all that we have endured in the last 2 yrs . I have met people whom have endured so much more, so many losses from family to economically. Devastations on both ends. Faith is key ..you must trust God even when it looks bleak. I am super happy to see happy smiles of children faces where it used to look fearful and unsure. You know that's how we cam up playing attending school not a care in the world anticipating Spring break and Summer vacation.
Yes,,,I welcome Spring and moving forward. Looking forward to embrace the new chapter in my life. Sunny days, long walks, long drives, admiring beautiful scenery of assorted flowers, food on the grill, art of communication with family and friends. I think I'll call my Spring and Summer UNPLUGGED....enjoy the simple things of life after dealing with hectic
