Good Bye Summer

Updated: Nov 3, 2022

We love summer and all that comes with it. Freedom of being out, enjoy gatherings, grilling food, trading recipes of making, & great sangria drinks. The decision of going to the beach, pool, or weekend getaway. Along with the ambiance of music playing everywhere echoing from cars throughout the parks. All the fireworks and backyard fire pits. Then comes labor day ....you know it's the last hooray until Thanksgiving but some would argue to say Halloween has become somewhat of an adult outing too.

So what are we doing with our wardrobe? Like honestly do you swap out summer for fall clothes? Do you purge or keep clothes to wear next year? IF you keep your clothes does it make you a hoarder or a maximalist? If you purge, is it because you got money to keep buying pieces or some sort of OCD, or possibly you are a minimalist?

Seriously I am curious to know just how some get around seasonal closet change. What does it take or look like, do you plan or just wing it? What are you big items you keep or toss? Like I am a maximalist meaning I keep a lot, I play with bold loud colors and match up with conservative, I mix old with new. I try monochromatic..I think that is playing it safe..i may not be risky with a lot but in fashion, my nails, perfume, jewelry & makeup I am ALL for exploring different and uniqueness. So because I hate to part with things & I do have a place for them does it constitute me as a hoarder...no because as a maximalist I will use each corner of a room...you may say that's a heck of a lot or too much !!! I guess that's why they pay people to assist with organizing to avoid someone such as myself starting a junk pile & watch it grow.

What's the ETA to change the closet to update for season attire? Also, can we wear white all year? I most definitely plan to this year..quite the trend I've noticed & one less thing I need to pack away. Another layer to seasonal wardrobe change would be lipstick and nail polish. Do you really stick with fall colors the dark browns, blues, terracotta orange blacks, and army green or do you add a splash of pastels? Do thrive on just diving into the holiday bedazzling & bling? I say whatever you do with your wardrobe make it fun and not a stressful task. Like put on some music and get a half of glass of vino because if you go for a whole glass you may never complete the task.... never mind do the whole glass you may very well need it after you discovered all the sales you went in on this past spring & summer. YOU are YOU...minimalist or maximalist, basic and simple or eclectic and extra. Remember nobody can be you but you...ALEXA play Girl put your records on by Corinne Bailey Rae...feel free to send me your thoughts or ideas...no I really want to know
